This means that companies can no longer use the EIC AI Platform for EIC Accelerator applications. In the meantime, as an emergency measure, the Horizon Europe Funding and Tenders Portal is open with immediate effect for EIC Accelerator full (Step 2) applications. A new EISMEA IT Platform will be open for short (Step 1) applications as of early July. » 📑 Applications must now be submitted on "Funding & tender opportunities", the European Commission's platform. The application format has also changed ! 🗓 As a result, the deadline has been extended from 7 to 21 June 📧 On Friday, the EIC contacted all the companies that are normally eligible to apply (= companies that have received a Short Proposal Go in the last 12 months, those that have received a Full Proposal No Go, as well as companies that were invited to the last orals and are awaiting their results but have no connection with them) to inform them of the situation. Good news for applicants to the EIC Accelerator!   The current EIC Artificial Intelligence (AI) Platform for applying to the EIC Accelerator is not accessible anymore as of today, due to a contractual dispute. Consequently, as an emergency measure the EIC has restructured EIC Accelerator application forms on the Funding and tenders opportunities portal and will continue to improve them.  The feedback received by the European Commission was clear: the portal was too complex and user-unfriendly, the length of proposals unnecessarily long. Hence, the EIC Board has issued a statement in March calling for fast and major improvements to be implemented https://lnkd.in/ejRxE7Yf As it turns out, the contractor did not quite respond to this demand. To accommodate the change for applicants, the deadline for submissions for the 7 June 2023 cut-off has been delayed with two weeks until 21 June 2023 at 17:00. Companies preparing short applications (step 1) will unable to submit their proposal until the new IT Platform by European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) is operational. The EIC AI portal is no longer open for Accelerator applications due to a contractual dispute.  The following emergency decisions have been taken by the EIC that impact your Full Application if you are aiming for June (if not already submitted):   1. Deadline for submitting Full Application (Step 2) EIC Accelerator 7 June 2023 cut-off postponed until 21 June 2023 at 17.00 CET. 2. Temporarily new process to submit application via the EU portal for Horizon projects. The content of the application is not likely to change much but the portal used to submit the application will be new.   More information in FAQs below and for companies in Sweden we hopefully will have more details after 5 June, after the NCP info-session regarding these changes. I welcome the decision of the EIC (European Innovation Council) to simplify the EIC Accelerator application form and process. The so-called AI application platform was error prone, counterintuitive and cumbersome. I never understood the decision to put in place such an extensive and time-consuming form. However, we must criticize the decision to do this change just 5 days before the application deadline, showing again a complete lack of communication, transparency and planning as well as a complete disrespect for potential applicants who have already invested hundreds of hours. European tech startups deserve better. 𝗘𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿: 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀 (?) 💥 The #EIC AI Platform has been suspended today! The application for full proposals (Step 2) will receive a new structure and move to the Funding & Tenders portal. Applicants should receive an email soon with further information and a link to the new application. Due to this restructuring, the #deadline 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀, meaning that full applications can be submitted until 𝟮𝟭. 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯. ❌ For a limited time, it will now not be possible to submit 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (Step 1).
