First EU-Type Examination Certificate RED Article 3.3 (Cybersecurity) issued by Eurofins E&E. Eurofins Product Service GmbH, an EU Notified Body (No. 0681) for 2014/53/EU Radio Equipment Directive, has issued its first EU-Type Examination Certificate under Article 3.3 (Cybersecurity) for a leading global manufacturer of IoT products. By partnering with Eurofins Product Service GmbH as a Notified Body and undergoing the evaluation process for Cybersecurity, the manufacturer can now demonstrate compliance with RED essential requirements before they become mandatory, allowing them to be at the forefront of product safety, reliability and security. Although the implementation date for Cybersecurity within the Radio Equipment Directive has been extended to the 1st August 2025, manufacturers can start their preparations now with the support of Eurofins E&E, ensuring they are prepared in advance of the deadline and that their products can continue to be placed on the market after the implementation date. Products can be certified against globally recognised Cybersecurity standards like ETSI EN 303 645 and IEC 62443. These standards include requirements that align with the Cybersecurity provisions outlined in RED, effectively equipping manufacturers for the upcoming regulatory requirements that will become mandatory in 2025. Eurofins Product Service GmbH and Eurofins E&E were delighted to welcome over 500 visitors to the open house event held at the Reichenwalde lab on the 23rd of September, 2023. Visitors could experience live demonstrations in the EMC, Radio and Safety laboratories, explore the range of certification services for medical, consumer and industrial products, and discuss career opportunities within Eurofins E&E. For the younger visitors, the team provided entertainment and a treasure hunt involving magnetometers. Refreshments were provided for all visitors. Eurofins Product Service GmbH (Eurofins E&E Germany) is delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Korea Testing Certification Institute (KTC). This MoU aims to advance the partnership and cooperation between Eurofins E&E Germany and KTC in areas such as product testing, certification and cybersecurity. The MoU was signed by Mr Thomas Kühl, Managing Director of Eurofins Product Service GmbH and Mr Sungil Ahn, President of KTC. KTC were represented by Mr Sungil Ahn, President of KTC, Mr Yongsung Kim, Director of the Information & Telecommunication Division and Mr Wonsuk Chung, Leader of the Software Convergence Center. Eurofins E&E Germany was represented by Thomas Kühl, Managing Director, Robert Kschiwan-Kaspar, Director of Quality Assurance, Jördis Mitzloff, Head of Certification Body and Michael Howard, Operations Manager. Alongside the signing ceremony, the guests from KTC were shown the extensive facilities and capabilities of Eurofins E&E Germany in Reichenwalde.
