Eurofins Agroscience Services Chem SAS was founded in 1987, moving to the current facility in 2000 and joining the Eurofins Group in 2005. In total, the facility has approximately 30 staff dedicated to agroscience services. Their range of expertise includes analytics, animal metabolism, processing and study management.

Eurofins Agroscience Services offers a broad spectrum of analytical services needed for the registration of agrochemicals and biocides. Together with three other laboratories located across Europe, the Vergeze facility can offer complete support throughout the development and registration process.
This state of the art laboratory serves both the pharmaceutical and agro-pharmaceutical industry. Our team provides a complete service for the analysis of agrochemicals in crops, processed fractions, soil, water, air, animal tissues and body fluids.

Equipment and Instrumentation
Our laboratory equipment comprises of LC-MS/MS, GC and HPLC instrumentation, which includes API 4000s, API 5500 with Q-Trap.
Additionally, we have a restricted access area for conducting studies using radiolabelled compounds (14C and 3H), with liquid scintillation counters and online HPCL with radiometric detection.
Wet crops are prepared with the addition of carbon dioxide in large scale blenders and dry crops (grain and straw) are prepared from frozen using specialised mills to produce a homogenous specimen. Specimens are divided into sub samples and bulk samples, with each specimen has a unique barcoded label.
Geography and Climate
Eurofins Agroscience Services Chem SAS is located in Vergeze, in the south of France. Situated approximately 30km from Montpellier and 100km from Marseille, the facility has direct access to major transport linked offering good connections to both northern and southern Europe.
